This wasn't what I originally wanted to post. I wanted to do a digital painting, but I left my tablet at home and I wasn't going to be home until Sunday. So instead, I did a quick doodle-thing with my limited resources. Sorry it's not that great, especially to follow Anh's lovely piece. I'll try to do better next time. :(
So cute mdear! I really like the lighting of it all. If this was some form of a Christmas tree, I'd totally use it.

ReplyDeleteVery believable lighting. Nice. I can't say I'm a master at it but the only one area that throws me off is the second turtle from the top. I'm not sure but I'm wondering if his/her shell catches a bit of cast shadow from the smallest turtle. Can't wait to see your piece next week!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about the cast shadow too, and I was unsure... I decided just to leave it out, but looking at it again, I think you're right. I'll fix it in my sketchbook. Thanks Anh :)
